Juvederm is a group of dermal fillers made of hyaluronic acid used to treat signs of aging on the face. In the Juvederm product line, there are different products that each deal with a different problem area of the face. Each product has a different amount of hyaluronic acid that is injected in different places and at different depths. However, all Juvederm fillers are smooth and gel-like. Types of Juvederm:

Juvederm Voluma XC

Juvederm Voluma XC. As we age, we tend to lose volume in our cheeks, which leads to a flattening of the cheeks and sagging skin. Juvederm Voluma XC is specifically formulated to provide lift to the cheek area by adding volume beneath the skin’s surface. The results of Juvederm Voluma can last up to two years.

Juvederm Vollure XC

Juvederm Vollure XC | Juvederm XC is formulated to treat facial areas around the nose and mouth. It is an effective solution to eliminate or reduce moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds for adults over the age of 21. Optimal treatments can produce results lasting up to 18 months

Juvederm XC

Juvederm Ultra XC is a filler that was approved by the FDA in 2010 and is mostly used to treat wrinkles on the face and to make the lips fuller. Each injection has a gel-like substance made of water, hyaluronic acid (HA), and lidocaine, a local anesthetic. HA is meant to make your skin look fuller by giving it more volume from the inside.

Juvederm Volbella XC

Juvederm Volbella XC and Juvederm Ultra XC is a cosmetic enhancement specifically for your lips. It is an injectable gel for lip augmentation and to correct perioral lines or “lipstick lines.” Optimal treatments can produce results that last up to one year, and you must be over the age of 21.

Juvederm Ultra XC

Juvederm Ultra XC will be injected deeper into the skin than Juvederm. Both versions work to smooth out folds and wrinkles, but studies done over the past few years show that the Ultra version works a little bit better. Ultra XC is also a bit longer-lasting than Juvederm, with results lasting up to a year instead of nine months. Juvederm Ultra XC is a great way to make your lips look fuller, and it can also smooth out even the deepest wrinkles. It's also good for restoring lost volume and giving your face more contour. Juvederm is great for smoothing out moderate lines and correcting the appearance of scars.

Your Juvederm Procedure

Improve facial lines and folds

Depending on the number of treated areas, your procedure will last between 15 and 60 minutes. Following your consultation, your face is washed and prepared for the injection procedure. If a topical anesthetic cream is chosen, it is administered at this time. Your provider will then slowly inject the filler into the treatment areas as specified in your consultation. Depending on your treatment plan, multiple Juvederm injections may be used in one area for overall even distribution.

Will it hurt?

Every injection should feel a little pinched. However, the process is made more pleasant with the use of a topical anesthetic and aesthetic cannulas rather than needles. Aesthetic cannulas have a blunt tip which can slide through the subcutaneous layer rather than cutting through tissue and vessels. This causes less damage and improves overall maneuverability. Utilizing aesthetic cannulas allows us to perform your treatment more quickly and with less pain and minimal bruising.

What are the risks?

Hyaluronic acid is a chemical your body produces naturally, making Juvederm safe to use. Redness, irritation, soreness, and discoloration are a few adverse effects, but they should go away in 24 to 48 hours.

How much does it cost?
