Before receiving Botox injections, we will evaluate your medical history to better understand your overall health and perform a complete examination of the areas you would like treated. Mr. Blevins will then assure that you are comfortable in a reclined position and clean the areas to be treated with a non-alcoholic cleanser. If you are particularly sensitive, a topical anesthetic can be applied to the injection areas, but this is most often not necessary.

Typically, four or five injections are performed for each side of the forehead for frown lines and two to three injections in the outer areas of the eyes for crow's feet. During treatment, some patients feel a very minor sting from the injections and may experience some slight bruising around the injection sites. However, any minor bruising will quickly fade, and all normal activities may be resumed immediately after your Botox injections.
